Six AIM-AHEAD Calls for Proposals Accepting Applications
Extramural Funding
AIM-AHEAD is currently accepting applications for six unique funding opportunities for research, training, and capacity-building initiatives in the realm of AI/ML and healthcare. Below is a brief summary of each. For more information, see the AIM-AHEAD website.
CLINAQ Fellowship Program (Cohort 2): A one-year program for clinicians to integrate AI/ML into clinical practice through mentored research projects. Fellows will present at the AIM-AHEAD Annual Meeting and produce peer-reviewed publications. Due June 23rd.
Research Fellowship Program (Cohort 4): Early-career researchers apply AI/ML methodologies to biomedical, clinical, or genomic data to improve health outcomes, with a focus on behavioral health, cardiometabolic health, and cancer. Due May 25th.
Hub-Specific Projects (Year 4): Supports community-based participatory research projects co-led by community organizations and researchers, using AI/ML to address health challenges influenced by lifestyle and social factors. Due June 23rd.
Public-Private Partnerships (P4) Program: Collaborations between health departments and higher education institutions or data science organizations to conduct AI/ML studies that improve community health outcomes. Due June 23rd.
Consortium Development Program (CDP) - FAIR-MED: Funds multidisciplinary research that implements AI/ML to address health outcome disparities related to cancer, cardiometabolic, and behavioral health, with a focus on trustworthy AI principles. Due June 23rd.
Federated Network Program (Cohort 2): Enables institutions to collaborate on AI/ML-driven health research without sharing patient-level data, analyzing EHR data locally and sharing aggregate results through a secure GitHub repository. Due June 4th.
