Additional PRIMED-AI Program Information

Program Overview: PRIMED-AI will support the development and adoption of innovative, reliable, and cost-effective AI-based clinical decision support tools that combine clinical imaging with other types of health care data to enhance care for patients with wide-ranging health conditions. The program will focus on four foundational components:
  1. Combining imaging and non-imaging data
  2. Developing AI tools
  3. Implementing these tools in the clinic
  4. Building trust and coordination between researchers, clinicians, and patients
Program Duration: 5 years   Funding: ~$25M per year (FY27-31); ~90 awards   Links: Find more details about PRIMED-AI by browsing the program descriptionslides from the NIH council meeting, and the program website. In addition, you can sign up for the NIH PRIMED-AI listserv here.
