Providing a Breath of Fresh Air: The Science, Impacts and Threats of Air Quality

Deadline date: Monday, November 6, 2023
Location: Room 2950 in Carolyn and Kem Gardner Commons

A new working group on human networks and data science, spurred from the Interdisciplinary Exchange for Utah Science (NEXUS) and the Data Science and Ethics of Technology (DATASET) Initiative, is hosting an air quality mixer on November 6, 2023 from 3-5 p.m. in Room 2950 of Carolyn and Kem Gardner Commons. Join us to learn about diverse perspectives on air quality from our panelists, including Amanda Bakian (Research Associate Professor of Psychiatry), Heather Holmes (Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering), Daniel Mendoza (Research Assistant Professor, Atmospheric Sciences), and Nalini Nadkarni (Professor of Biological Sciences).  After the panel discussion, we will have a session of speed networking where you will have a chance to meet one-on-one with other researchers interested in the science, impacts, and threats of air quality. Finally, we will wrap up with a group discussion on where we go from here.

We hope you can join us and encourage you to register today! Click here to register!
