GOALS

The collaboration map illustrates the 13 universities and 11 industry partners currently using the Versa 620 at the University of Utah Nanofab facility. This acquisition impacts over 50 graduate students spanning over 50 funded grants from NSF, NASA, DOD, ARPA-E, DOE, ONR, and NIH.

  • Aerospace materials characterization for design, certification, safety, and performance assessment (University and Industry partners identified by blue dots)
  • Geological materials characterization for energy futures (University and Industry partners identified by green dots)
  • Biological materials characterization for study of micro-mechanisms and adaptation to environments and loads (University and Industry partners identified by red dots)
  • This tool is integrated within the National Science Data Fabric to promote data democratization and provide educational resources to help bridge the technology gap
