ABOUT

We live in a world overwhelmed with cascading and interlinked crises and challenges, many of which have foundations in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines. To address these challenges, we cannot rely on individuals or even experts within one area of science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or education. We must organize and mobilize the collective expertise of interdisciplinary teams to generate and realize interdisciplinary solutions.

USTEM RESEARCH COMPONENT
USTEM RESEARCH COMPONENT
Our Research Component provides seed grant funding and interactive activities to champion and support interdisciplinary teams exploring innovative STEM Education research with an emphasis on problem-solving. Seed grant details will be available in Summer 2023. A USTEM Convening of Potential Research Partners Event will be announced soon for Fall 2023.

USTEM PRACTICE COMPONENT
Our Practice Component provides full tuition and three years of coaching as a new K-12 classroom teacher for Salt Lake Community College and the University of Utah students pursuing elementary and secondary teacher certificates emphasizing STEM.
