Please see the below information on a grant initiative hosted by USHE and Talent Ready Utah - the Computer Science Targeted Workforce Initiative. This grant initiative aims to expand program capacity in the following occupations: Information Security Analyst, Software Developer, Quality Assurance Analyst, Quality Assurance Tester, Digital Interface Designer, Computer and Information Research Scientist, Database Administrator, and Database Architect. The deadline for this opportunity is October 28, 2025, by 5:00 pm (MST).

This initiative could be relevant to multiple units.

The University of Utah will NOT be conducting an “intent-to-apply” competition for this opportunity. However, interested faculty will ideally inform their respective Dean if they intend to apply so the Dean can advocate as needed.

USHE/TRU strongly encourages interested faculty to attend the information sessions for a comprehensive understanding of the initiative, answers to questions from potential applicants, and instructions on how to use their new grant management system, which must be used to submit the proposal. Details for registering for the information session are below. If you cannot attend the information session, a recording of the RFP Information Session, along with emailed questions and responses, will be posted on the Talent Ready Utah webpage.
