SERDP/ESTCP Webinar: Enhancing Species Monitoring Tools for Improved DoD Land Use Training and Testing
Events
Join SERDP and ESTCP on Thursday October 2 for a webinar featuring DoD-funded research on emerging technologies that improve monitoring of threatened and endangered species on DoD land, providing cost‑effective, data‑driven insights to guide habitat management and sustain mission readiness. First, Dr. Jessica Carilli (Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific) will talk about new monitoring technologies to inform the recovery of a threatened and endangered bird species. Dr. Jeffrey Foster (Northern Arizona University) will discuss his research on enhancing threatened and endangered species (TES) bird population monitoring through environmental DNA metabarcoding of arthropods to evaluate habitat quality on military lands.
