The Office of the Vice President for Research is pleased to announce the dates for High Tech West (HTW) 2026 — our annual R&D pitch competition advancing solutions for national defense, aerospace, and medicine in complex environments. Dates: February 25–26, 2026 Formerly known as the Remote & Austere Conditions (RAC) Grand Challenge, HTW brings together Utah’s vibrant research ecosystem with government and industry partners to address national security priorities. This two-day event showcases next-generation innovations through live pitches from leading researchers:

Day One – February 25: Aerospace and Defense
Day Two – February 26: Biotech and Medicine for austere environments
