The Center for Medical Innovation’s Bench to Bedside (B2B) competition is back—and so is Reverse Pitch Night, a unique opportunity for University of Utah faculty, researchers, clinicians, and staff to team up with students to solve real-world healthcare problems.
Each year, health care professionals pitch the problems they encounter n clinics, labs, and fieldwork to interdisciplinary student teams competing in B2B. The results are often extraordinary: last year’s challenges led to innovations that won $25,000 in funding, including:
- OrthoBolt – A next-generation pedicle screw system for spinal surgery, designed to improve outcomes for patients with osteoporosis.
- Pebble AI – An AI-powered, non-invasive tool that assesses neonatal HIE using audio and video data.
- CodeClock – A device that improves communication and coordination during cardiac arrest resuscitations to boost patient survival.
📣 Now’s your chance to get involved.
