- Reviews appeals of determinations made by the Designated

of policy regarding conflict of interest and operation of
the Conflict of Interest Committee
- Promotes compliance with federal, state, sponsor and UU
regulations regarding conflict of interest

safety, and operation of the Department of Environmental

- Promotes compliance with federal, state, sponsor and UU
regulations environmental health and safety

- Oversees policy formulation in the following areas:
- Matters relating to direct and indirect charging on
sponsored projects
- Effort reporting on sponsored projects
- Cost sharing
- Re-budgeting on sponsored projects
- Recording and disposing of program income
- Cost transfers
- Record retention
- The Vice President for Administrative Services is responsible
for matters of policy regarding financial services and operation
of the departments of Governmental Accounting and Research
Accounting
- Promotes compliance with federal, state, sponsor and UU
regulations regarding financial management of research

of the IRB

of policy regarding collection, storage and re-use of human
tissue samples in research
- Promotes compliance with the UU policy on human tissue

of policy regarding technology transfer and operation of
the Technology Transfer Office
- Promotes compliance with federal, state, sponsor and UU

- The President of the University appoints the members
of the Radiation Safety Committee
- The Vice President for Research is responsible for matters
of policy regarding radiological health and the operation
of the Department of Radiological Health
