Jeff serves as University's Vice President for Research Integrity. He is a Professor of Pediatrics and Adjunct Professor of Human Genetics and Internal Medicine and is nationally known for his research that which is focused on the ethical, legal, and social implications of genetic technology with a particular emphasis on research ethics, genetic testing for cancer susceptibility, newborn screening, and prenatal diagnosis.
Jeff is a native of Pittsburgh . He earned an undergraduate degree in biology at Princeton University , his medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh and a master's degree in public health at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore . He joined the University of Utah School of Medicine in 1992. He and his wife live in Park City , Utah . They have two children.

John serves as Director of the IRB. He has been employed by the University since 1998 and joined the IRB in 2001. The IRB works with faculty, staff, and the community to protect the rights and welfare of research participants. John is a Wyoming native and moved to Salt Lake City in 1990 to attend Westminster College . He and his family enjoy outdoor activities and the beautiful scenery typical of Utah and the Intermountain West.

Jahn is the newly hired RGE Director and Conflict of Interest Officer. RGE is responsible for the administrative oversight of the Utah Population Database (UPDB), a unique and nationally renowned data resource for genetic and epidemiologic research. Jahn has worked on research projects using the UPDB since 1997. As the Conflict of Interest Officer, he works with the Conflict of Interest Committee to ensure that the University's research activities are not biased or compromised by the personal financial interests of investigators.
Jahn came to Salt Lake City from Texas in 1991 and earned a BS in Political Science and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Utah. He enjoys gardening and politics.

Tony has responsibility for managing several research education and training programs for faculty and staff including the Research Administration Training Series (RATS). Tony began working at the University of Utah in 1995 in Student Affairs, spent several years as a consultant in adult education and interactive technology, and has served in Research Administration since 2004. Tony received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from The University of Texas at Austin , and a Master of Science degree from the College of Health at The University of Utah. He spends time coaching and officiating youth sports programs, and enjoys outdoor activities with his family.

Jim is a Utah native, and received his undergraduate degree in microbiology from Weber State University . He received his masters degree in Public Health from the University of Utah , and in 2004 came back to the university as an employee after working for the U.S. Department of Energy and the Utah Labor Commission. Jim currently serves as the University's Biosafety Specialist and as the administrator of the Institutional Biosafety Committee. Jim lives in Layton , Utah with his wife and four children.

Heather is responsible for handling administrative matters directly relating to the Associate VP for Research Integrity office. She has worked with the University for six years, she and her family live in Salt Lake , and she enjoys outdoor recreation.
